Resetting the Service Light on an Opel Astra

As the time approaches to change the engine oil on an Opel Astra, a reminder appears on the dashboard. After completing the necessary operations, you must reset the control system. Sit in the driver's seat, turn on the ignition, and press the "menu" button on the stalk to the left of the steering wheel until the oil duration screen appears on the central display. Press the "set/clr" button at the top of the stalk and confirm by selecting "yes" with the arrow selector. Turn off the ignition, and upon the next restart, you will have confirmation of the reset.
