Oil and Filter Change for the Peugeot 2008 Petrol

In this video, we will see how to change the oil and filter on the Peugeot 2008 petrol: open the bonnet and unscrew the oil filler cap; it is advisable to use a cleaner to facilitate the oil draining from the sump, for example, code B001CZSG94 on Amazon for £16.58, with free delivery for Prime customers. Start the engine for 5 minutes, pour the cleaner into the engine oil, and then leave it running for 15 minutes at idle. When the engine has cooled, raise the front of the car and open the sump plug, allowing the oil to drain into a suitable container: dispose of the oil at an authorised centre. While the oil is draining, change the filter, which is accessed from above. A container for collecting fluids is also needed here, and a socket set may be useful. Let it drain, then take the new filter, lubricate the seal with clean oil, and install it in place. Do the same with the new plug seal for the sump. Lower the car and add oil to 90% of the required amount. Check with the dipstick and top up until you reach the correct level, which should be just below the "max" mark.
