Detailed instructions - The 1998 Peugeot 306 has two main fuse boxes: one in the cabin and one in the engine compartment. The cabin fuse box is located under the steering column on the driver's side, at the bottom of the dashboard, behind a plastic cover (on some models, you need to turn a screw a quarter turn to open it). The fuse box in the engine compartment is near the battery, protected by a black cover, usually on the right side. The internal box manages the cabin utilities: radio, dashboard lights, position lights, fog lights, central locking, cigarette lighter, heated seats, wipers, and demister. The box in the engine compartment manages high-draw utilities: fans, ABS, engine control unit, and headlights. Always turn off the engine and ignition before replacing a fuse and use a replacement of the same amperage. If the fuse blows again immediately, there is a short circuit, and a workshop inspection is required. The complete diagram is on the back of the cover. Before replacing a relay, ensure it matches the original specifications.
