Timing Belt Replacement on Peugeot 208

Remove the timing belt on the Peugeot 208 if you have exceeded the maximum mileage for safety. Here’s how to remove the belt. Lift the front bonnet; detach the engine soundproofing panel. Remove the timing belt cover and the other protective covers. Loosen the tensioner, the second tensioner, and slide the belt off its seat. Using a spanner, install the tensioner roller, tension it until the correct belt tension is achieved (install both belts). Refit the water pump if it was removed. Tighten all previously removed components. Refit the engine soundproofing.
