Peugeot 106 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 106 MK 1 - Years 1991-2004
Part: Fog lights
Operation: Fog lights installation

This installation requires a minimum of familiarity with disassembly and basic knowledge of electrical engineering, since it will be necessary to insert the warning light in the instrument panel, make the connection with the headlight control lever and also power the fog lights through a relay. . Therefore, start with the disassembly of the light switch controls and the instrument panel by first removing the plastic covers. Once the instrument panel has been placed on the bench, disassemble it completely in order to reach the electronic circuit (the operation is very delicate as it is necessary to release the hands); intercept the position of the warning light relative to the fog lights, remove the smd led and drill a hole of the appropriate diameter to house a traditional led; then insert an orange film inside the warning light compartment and reassemble the instrument panel. Connect the ground of the led and insert a wire in the connector of the lights control to give the positive to the led indicator when the fog lights are switched on. Then bring the same positive into the fuse box in the engine compartment by passing through the rubber pad near the pedal board. At this point, power the fog lights via a relay: to bring power to the lights, the bumper must also be removed.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
