Peugeot 207 - Video tutorial

Model: Peugeot 207 MK 1 - Years 2006-2015
Part: Thermostat
Operation: How to replace the thermostat on a Peugeot 207 1.4 hDi

Before you begin replacing the thermostat, you will need to drain the cooling system. Once this is done, we can start by removing the plastic protection of the battery, and then go on to remove the battery itself. After removing the battery, we will also remove the control unit next to it. At this point, the base that supported the battery must also be removed by unscrewing and removing the two ten-piece bolts. Once this is done, we will have to remove the air sleeve placed next to the thermostat, by unscrewing the Torx T25 screw that fixes it. Subsequently we will also have to disconnect the plug of the mass air flow sensor. By doing this we will have obtained the space necessary to work on the thermostat. We will then have to remove the two sleeves connected to the thermostat, removing the metal clamps. Then we will have to disconnect the pin connected to it, and finally unscrew the four bolts that secure the thermostatic valve. Once this step is complete, we will be able to disassemble the thermostat. To mount the new thermostat, simply follow the steps in reverse, and we will have finished the replacement.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
