How to Replace the Thermostat on a Peugeot 207 1.4 hDi

Before starting the thermostat replacement, you must drain the cooling system. Once done, begin by removing the plastic cover of the battery, then remove the battery itself. After removing the battery, also take out the control unit next to it. At this point, you will need to remove the base that supported the battery by unscrewing and removing the two 10mm bolts. Next, remove the air duct next to the thermostat by unscrewing the Torx T25 screw that secures it. You will also need to disconnect the mass airflow sensor plug. This will give you the necessary space to work on the thermostat. Then, remove the two hoses connected to the thermostat by sliding off the metal clips. After that, disconnect the plug attached to it, and finally, unscrew the four bolts securing the thermostat housing. Once this step is completed, you can remove the thermostat. To install the new thermostat, simply follow the steps in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
