Learn how to replace the auxiliary belt on a Peugeot 208: lift the car and remove the front wheel on the passenger side. Support the vehicle on axle stands to ensure it doesn't fall.

The auxiliary belt operates the alternator, power steering, air conditioning, and water pump. You will need to lift the tensioner to slacken the belt; usually, when changing the belt, the tensioner is also replaced: you can find the complete kit on Amazon with the code B0068MI2UE for £55.90, including shipping.

Remove the tensioner from its housing, then replace it with the new one. Now install the new belt, routing it between the various components, following the original layout. Check that the belt is properly seated on all pulleys.

Refit the wheel and lower the car. Operation complete.
