To replace the clutch on a Peugeot 406, loosen the screws securing the gearbox to its housing. These screws will be located at the bottom of the engine bay, while others can be accessed by opening the bonnet.

To completely remove the gearbox, it will be necessary to remove the left front wheel so that the gearbox can be extracted. This will make the clutch visible, allowing it to be disconnected from the pressure plate for replacement with a new one. After replacement, reassemble all removed components, checking their functionality.
