In this video, you will learn how to replace the front brake pads on a Peugeot 2008: open the bonnet and the brake fluid reservoir. You will need to lift the front of the car and secure it on axle stands, as you will also need to remove the front wheels (which you should place under the car for safety).

Insert a flat screwdriver into the caliper gap and lever to retract the piston, then loosen the two bolts of the bracket and lift the caliper, resting it on the shock absorber. Remove the pads, then use a wire brush to clean the pad support, and it may be a good idea to replace the anti-noise shims.

The new pads should be greased with copper grease on the outer side before inserting them into the support, and then you can refit the caliper by reinstalling the lower bolt of the bracket followed by the upper one. Repeat on the other side, and the job is complete.
