To do this level check job, you will need a pack of engine oil, one of brake fluid, one of coolant, and one for windshield washer fluid. It is very practical to choose small packs to keep in the trunk in case of need. The level check should be done with the engine off. First, remove the oil dipstick from its housing, dry it with absorbent paper, put it back in place, and pull it out again; it should be halfway between "min" and "max" to be perfect. If the level is low, open the cap and top up the oil. It should not exceed the maximum level in any way! Let's check the coolant level; open the expansion tank cap and add fluid up to the maximum level. The engine should always be cold! The brake fluid reservoir also has level indicators: if it decreases, it means that the brake pads are worn. If the level is below the maximum, add fluid, but consider the possibility of having the brake pads checked. Now let's check the windshield washer fluid, in order to ensure the best visibility both on the windshield and on the rear window.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
