Checking and Topping Up Fluids on the Peugeot 2008

To perform this fluid level check, you will need a container of engine oil, a container of brake fluid, a container of coolant, and a container for windscreen washer fluid; it’s practical to choose small containers to keep in the boot for emergencies. Check the levels with the engine off. First, remove the oil dipstick from its housing, wipe it with a cloth, replace it, and then remove it again; the level should be halfway between "min" and "max". If the level is low, open the cap and top up the oil. Do not exceed the maximum level! Check the coolant level; open the expansion tank cap and add coolant up to the maximum level. The engine must always be cold! The brake fluid reservoir also has level indicators: if it drops, it means the pads are worn. If the level is below maximum, add fluid, but consider having the pads checked. Now check the washer fluid to ensure the best visibility on both the windscreen and rear window.
