Removing the steering wheel airbag on a Peugeot 308 vehicle is a very simple and quick operation to perform independently. However, we recommend disconnecting the battery before proceeding with the removal to avoid accidents. Insert a star screwdriver into the lower side hole of the steering wheel and push the internal lever. Remove the central body and then disconnect the connector. Once the steering wheel airbag is removed, you can perform the maintenance you desire or remove the steering wheel by unscrewing the central screw located on the back of the airbag.
