If the Peugeot 206 exhibits non-linear engine delivery and a drop in performance, the cause may be a dirty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. To clean it, open the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the sensor on the intake manifold, positioned on the passenger side.

Using an 8 mm socket with an extension, undo the bolt securing it and remove the sensor. Place a cloth on the engine, rest the sensor on it, and spray a suitable cleaning solution on it. Wait for it to dry, then refit the sensor in its place and secure it with the bolt.
