Once you open the hood, you will find the pump bolted to the engine block on the lower left with six bolt-head screws. Once unscrewed, you can extract the pump from its location by prying it with a screwdriver, taking care not to damage anything. Once the pump is removed, you can also remove the gasket by cutting the threads that hold it in place with small scissors.
