This video illustrates the operations for changing the oil and replacing the filter on a Porsche 911. Once the car is positioned on a bridge, you must remove the oil pan cover by unscrewing the three fixing bolts. To unscrew the cup cap you can use either a ratchet wrench or a normal hex wrench with the aid of a combination wrench (the use of a ratchet wrench is recommended). Unscrew the cap and let the oil flow out (collecting it in a container). It is better that you work with a cold engine. It is now necessary to loosen the plastic cover of the filter (with a ratchet wrench to which a recess of the size of the filter is applied) after which, once removed, you can unscrew the filter cover and let the oil residues flow. After letting it drain for a few minutes, you can fit the new filter. In this new filter package you will also find the plug for the oil pan and the gasket for the plastic cover of the filter. Now you can screw the cup cap (and its washer) back on; also insert the new filter and its plastic cover and screw them back on. Refit the sump cover. Now you can lower the bridge and finally pour in the new engine oil!
