First of all, it is advisable to carry out this operation with a cold engine to avoid burns and to lubricate the fixing pins of the exhaust manifold with a release spary. Then unscrew the fixing pins of the exhaust manifold (both those of the flange connecting to the muffler and those of the engine block); therefore remove the manifold and the gaskets. Check if it is possible to clean the manifold from encrustations and soot residues, otherwise replace it with a new one. At this point, proceed with the installation of the new manifold by inserting the new gaskets (it is always preferable to replace them) and properly tightening the fixing pins.
