Replacing Exhaust Manifold

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005

It is recommended to perform this operation with the engine cold to avoid burns and to lubricate the exhaust manifold mounting bolts with penetrating spray. Then, unscrew the mounting bolts of the exhaust manifold (both those connecting to the exhaust pipe and those to the engine block); then remove the manifold and the gaskets. Check if you can clean the manifold of carbon deposits and soot residues; otherwise, replace it with a new one. At this point, proceed with the installation of the new manifold by inserting the new gaskets (it is always preferable to replace them) and tightening the mounting bolts properly.
