Replacing Front Headlight on Porsche Boxster and 996

Model: Porsche Boxster 986, MK 1 - Years 1996-2004
Part: Headlight

Lift the hood and insert the support rod. Remove the inner cover from the hood on the headlight side by unscrewing the plastic clip. Remove the rubber cover and insert a 5 mm socket wrench, unscrewing the bolt inside. As you move it, you will notice the headlight coming out of its housing: pull it out and disconnect the connector. Now that the housing is empty, you can better see how the clips that hold the headlight are constructed. Insert the new headlight, aligning the clips, and connect the connector. Screw in the bolt and reassemble everything.
