To replace the key battery of a Renault Clio, start by locating the small button or lever on the back of the key. Press this lever to separate the metal part of the key from the remote. Once the key body is removed, you will notice a slot or access point that allows you to gently open the back of the remote.

You can use a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool to carefully pry it open, avoiding damage to the plastic. When the shell is open, you will find the battery inside the remote.

It is usually a button cell battery, such as a CR2025 or CR2032, but it is always advisable to check the exact type before purchasing a replacement. Carefully remove the old battery, paying attention to the orientation of the positive and negative terminals.

Insert the new battery in the same way, ensuring it is properly positioned and secure within the holder. Once the battery is replaced, close the remote by putting the two halves of the shell back together.

Press gently until you hear a click, ensuring everything is tightly closed. After reassembling the key, test the remote to ensure it works correctly.
