Simple routine maintenance checks for the Renault Captur

Model: Renault Captur MK 1 - Years 2013-2019
Part: Checks and maintenance

What are the routine maintenance checks that can be done at home on our Renault Captur? There are still some small checks that can be done on our car, such as checking the windshield wiper fluid level and topping it up. It must be a specific fluid, diluted with demineralized water - never tap water which would damage the windshield - we check the radiator fluid; if we find that it is a bit low we add more fluid, but it must be the same color as the reservoir. We then check the engine oil level, pulling up the dipstick, cleaning it and then putting it back in place and pulling it up again, checking that the level is close to the "max" mark (never above). If necessary, we add a little oil and re-measure. If we really want to check the brake fluid, we must know that theoretically it never runs out: if the level is low, it means that the pads or discs are worn out. Instead of adding oil, we must replace them.
