How to Change the Cabin Filter on the Renault Megane III

Let's see how to change the cabin air filter on a Renault Megane III. The operation is demonstrated on a right-hand drive vehicle, making it slightly more complicated than on a left-hand drive, as the clutch pedal must be removed. Remove the side panel of the centre tunnel and the lower dashboard panel under the steering wheel; you need to take off the air distribution duct, unclip the hydraulic lines of the clutch from the retaining clips, disconnect the electrical wiring, and unscrew the nuts that secure the clutch pedal to the body. There is no need to disconnect the electrical connectors. Rotate the pedal and lower it to create space, unclip the wiring from the top of the filter housing, remove the cover, and extract the filter. Vacuum any dust and debris from the housing, insert the new filter ensuring the orientation of the arrows is correct, reattach the pedal by hand-tightening the screws and then tightening them to 21 Nm. Reconnect the hydraulic lines of the clutch, and replace the lower dashboard panel and the side panel of the centre tunnel.
