Replacing the Oil Filter on a Renault Clio

Replacing the oil filter on a Renault Clio? Here’s how to do it. Lift the car on a column lift, unscrew the wheel bolts and remove the wheel (right side). Remove the plastic panel covering the wheel (wheel arch liner). Using a strap wrench, unscrew the cartridge oil filter; let the fluid drain into a container. Install the new filter in its housing. Refit the wheel arch liner, then the wheel with the securing bolts. Replace the engine oil along with the filter. Top up with new fluid and close the bonnet.
