How to Test and Replace Faulty Injectors on a Renault Clio

To test the injectors on a Renault Clio, open the bonnet and loosen the high-pressure connectors, then activate the starter motor. Tighten the connectors through which the diesel flows. Now try to start the engine by spraying brake cleaner into the air filter. A return flow test of the injector can detect any internal leaks, so disconnect the fuel return hoses, insert a cap on the high-pressure pump connector, and connect four hoses to the injectors. Place the hoses in an empty bottle and start the engine; if the bottles fill with fuel, the injectors have a high return flow and need to be replaced.
