To perform a test of the injectors on a Renault Clio it is necessary to open the hood and loosen the high pressure unions and activate the starter motor, now tighten the unions through which the diesel flows. Now try starting the engine with brake cleaner by spraying into the air filter. An injector back-flow test can detect any leaks inside, so disconnect the fuel return lines, put a cap on the high-pressure pump connector, and connect four hoses to the injectors. Insert the hoses into an empty bottle and start the engine, if the bottles fill with fuel the injectors have a high flow back then they need to be replaced.
