How to replace the serpentine belt on a Renault Clio IV

In this video we can see how to replace the service belt on a Renault Clio IV gasoline: we open the hood of the car and disconnect the battery, unscrewing the negative terminal. We will also need to lift the vehicle in its front part, and remove the wheel from the passenger side. We will also need to remove the fender, in order to access the internal components: we can now see the accessory belt, which moves the alternator charging the battery, operates the power steering, the air conditioning compressor and the water pump. In this system there are two belts and they do not have tensioners. We cut the belts with a pair of pliers. We take the new belts, and pay attention, because the writing on the belts must rotate clockwise: We will start by installing the alternator belt on the inner race line of the shock absorber pulley. There is a special tool to install these belts, which makes the task easier, always rotating the pulley clockwise. The other belt must be mounted on the air conditioning compressor and on the outer race line of the shock absorber pulley. Now we can put the fender back in place and then the wheel. The job is done.
