What Does the EPC Light Mean on Seat and Volkswagen Cars?

The acronym EPC stands for Electronic Power Control and is a warning that manages the engine's ignition and power. When one of the many possible issues arises, the light illuminates, along with the engine fault or a specific message. If it lights up at startup, there may be a problem with the glow plugs, coil, or fuel pressure. If it lights up while driving, there could be a reading error in the accelerator/brake/throttle position sensors or in the wiring. If it lights up during acceleration, there is a faulty connection with the accelerator. Symptoms include jerking, limited speed, and generally poor vehicle performance. To resolve this, use the codes read via the OBD reader to clear the error; otherwise, the light will not turn off by itself. In any case, it is advisable to consult a good garage.
