Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Skoda Octavia 1U, MK 1 - Years 1996-2004
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter housing is located in the engine bay, just below the windscreen. Open the front bonnet, remove the rear seal and the plastic cover immediately below the windscreen (it is simply clipped in, so just pull it upwards).
Disconnect and then remove the old filter by unfastening the clips around the frame. Ensure that there are no debris in the filter housing and insert the new filter, respecting the airflow direction. Reattach the fixing frame, the plastic cover, and the seal.
