How to Start the Smart with Automatic Gearbox

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

In this video, you will learn how to start the Smart with an automatic gearbox. Once inside the cabin, you will notice that there are only two pedals: the one on the right is the accelerator and the one on the left is the brake. Obviously, there is no clutch. Looking at the centre, between the two seats, you will find the automatic gear lever and the ignition key slot. Ensure that the automatic gear lever is in the neutral position. At this point, turn the key slightly to the right and the engine will start. With the brake pressed, push the gear lever to the left into position A (automatic). You can now drive away.
