The following steps will show us how to open the rear hatch of the Subaru Crosstrek, as well as the Forester. To open the rear hatch, first unlock the door locks, then open the trunk using the designated button on the handle; you can also unlock just the rear hatch lock from the remote. The hatch will close manually unless there is an electric hatch (in which case there will be a closing button); finally, we gently lower the hatch until it closes.
