Removing the Starter Motor on a Toyota Rav4

Here’s how to remove the starter motor on a Toyota Rav4. Open the bonnet and secure it. First, disconnect the battery cables using a socket wrench. Remove the air intake kit to access the starter motor. Unscrew the mounting bolts of the starter motor and disconnect the power terminals with pliers or a screwdriver, depending on the pressure of the tabs. Detach the component from its housing and remove it from the engine bay. Finally, install the new starter motor, reconnect the power cables, and secure it with the associated mounting screws.
