How to remove the glove compartment of a Toyota Corolla MK4

Model: Toyota Corolla E160, MK 4, E170 - Years 2013-2019
Part: Glove compartment

To remove the glove compartment from a Toyota Corolla MK4, the first thing to do is obviously to empty the compartment of everything it contains; let's open it normally and then locate the damper, which is a small gas piston mounted on the right side of the compartment, and which helps it to descend slowly when opened. Let's disconnect it and pull it to the right until it disengages from its ball joint, then compress the side walls with both hands inward and lower the compartment, but do not let it fall completely. With the walls still compressed and the compartment partially lowered, pull it towards us. If it doesn't come out, it means the angle is not correct. Behind we will find the cabin air filter, the airbag control unit, electrical wires for the compartment light, and the pivot pins.

Installation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille.
