How Stability Control and Traction Control Work on the Toyota Innova Crysta

Let’s see how Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) work on the Toyota Innova Crysta: the TCR/VSC OFF button is a single switch with two functions: briefly pressing it once disables only the Traction Control (TRC) and the TRC OFF light illuminates on the dashboard. This is useful if the wheels slip in mud or sand and more grip is needed to get free. If you hold the button for more than 3 seconds, both TRC and VSC are disabled, and the vehicle skid light turns on the dashboard. This way, the most important driving aids are turned off, so it should only be used in exceptional cases. If the light comes on without pressing the button, there may be a malfunction: check the brake fluid level, tire pressure, and fuses. If the lights remain on, an electronic diagnosis is needed.
