Removing the Fuel Pump Float on a Toyota Yaris

Let’s look at removing the fuel pump float inside the tank of the Yaris. Disconnect the battery cables before removing any electrical components, then remove the rear seat cushions. Unscrew the securing screws with a socket wrench from the metal cap (if present), remove it from its seat, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power terminals and the liquid circulation tubes. Remove the float from inside the Yaris tank. Install a new piece into the designated compartment along with all associated components.
