Replacing the Fuel Float on a Toyota Yaris

Model: Toyota Yaris MK 4 - Years 2020-2026
Part: Fuel pump

Access the area beneath the rear seat, lift the adhesive tape securing the cables, and use a screwdriver to pry up the cover plate of the fuel pump compartment. Disconnect the power connector and remove the three rubber hoses. Next, using a puller, lift the pump assembly, taking care not to damage the float, and wait for the fuel to completely drain. At the bottom of the cylinder, locate the assembly with the float, use a screwdriver to pry upwards to unlock it, and disconnect the electrical connector. Take the new float and replace it. Then, repeat all the assembly steps in reverse.
