This video tutorial teaches you how to remove and replace the timing chain on a Toyota Yaris 1.4 D4D. This operation requires a new timing chain kit, a new water pump, a sealant, and the fluids that need to be replaced (water and oil). First, remove the vacuum pump hose, the valve cover, the vacuum pump, the water pump pulley, the engine support bracket, and the water pump. Next, you can also remove the pulley from the crankshaft, the timing cover, the chain tensioner, the sliding guide, and the chain guide. Finally, remove the camshaft along with the chain and the gear. After repairing or replacing the timing chain, reassemble everything in the reverse order of disassembly.
