Toyota Yaris - Video tutorial
Model: Toyota Yaris
Xp90
- Years 2005-2011 This video tutorial teaches us how to disassemble and replace the timing chain in a Toyota Yaris 1.4 D4D. This requires a new timing chain kit, a new water pump, a sealant and the fluids that will need to be replaced (water and oil). First, you need to remove the vacuum pump hose, valve cover, vacuum pump, water pump pulley, engine mount bracket and water pump. Subsequently, it will also be possible to remove the pulley from the crankshaft, the timing cover, the chain tensioner, the sliding guide and the chain guide. Finally, remove the camshaft along with the chain and sprocket. After repairing or replacing the timing chain, everything can be reassembled, in the reverse order of assembly.
