In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the cabin air filter in a Toyota 4Runner, a very simple and quick task. The first thing you need to do, since the filter is located behind the passenger glove compartment, is to remove the drawer. Proceed by opening the compartment and unscrewing the mounting screw of the damper on the right. Once disconnected, disengage the pins from the dashboard by pressing the two corners inward. At this point, you can open the long rectangular door and replace the filter, making sure to position the replacement correctly.
