Instructions for Changing Oil and Filter

Model: Toyota Prius Xw30, MK 2 - Years 2009-2015

With safe access under the vehicle, to change the oil and filter, first remove the clip to open the plastic shield. Then, release the safety lock on the oil filter and unscrew it, taking care to avoid oil spills. Next, unscrew the bolt on the oil sump and let the oil drain out. Refit the replacement filter, ensuring to insert the lock. Also, re-screw the drain bolt after the sump has completely emptied and close the protective shield. Now proceed to add new oil until the level on the dipstick is between the max and min marks. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to allow the oil to circulate completely. Then, check the level with the engine off and add more oil if necessary. Car model: Toyota Prius Year: 2009-11.
