Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Toyota Prius MK 1 - Years 2004-2009

Open the bonnet, ensuring it is securely supported, remove the engine oil dipstick and unscrew the filler cap. Position a suitable container under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug (located on the side: a paper funnel will help direct the oil into the container); once draining is complete, screw the plug back in. Using a metal strap wrench (or the appropriate socket tool), unscrew the oil filter and replace it with a new one after applying oil to the gasket (it is sufficient to tighten it by hand).
Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the owner's manual.
