The necessary tools are: a ratchet wrench and the special extractor for the filter cartridge. Obtain the right amount of oil suitable for the type of engine and the new cartridge. Lift the machine with the appropriate jacks and secure it with suitable supports so that it cannot fall and work in peace. Place a plastic sheet and the oil pan under the engine. Unscrew the oil cap on the engine sump and drain it. Using an articulated ratchet wrench, gently unscrew the oil filter and extract it from its seat. Replace the exhausted filter cartridge with a new one, also replace the O-ring. Close the oil cap, refit the oil filter and top up with new oil. After a test ride, check the oil level again. Do not disperse the used oil in the environment but take it to the appropriate collection centers. Reset the on-board computer for the new service.
