Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

The necessary tools are: a ratchet spanner and the appropriate extractor for the filter cartridge. Obtain the correct quantity of oil suitable for the engine type and the new cartridge. Lift the car using appropriate jacks and secure it with suitable supports to prevent it from falling, allowing you to work safely. Place a plastic sheet and an oil collection tray under the engine. Unscrew the oil cap on the sump and let it drain. Using a ratchet spanner, gently unscrew the oil filter and remove it from its housing. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one, and also replace the O-ring seal. Close the oil cap, reattach the oil filter, and top up with new oil. After a test drive, check the oil level again. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to designated collection centres. Reset the onboard computer for the new service.
