How to Replace the Oil and Oil Filter on a Toyota Camry

To replace the oil and oil filter on a Toyota Camry, lift the front of the car. Remove the upper engine cover, take out the dipstick, and use a 14 mm wrench to remove the oil filler cap, allowing the oil to drain into a container. While the oil is draining, use the appropriate wrench to remove the oil filter, letting the oil drain into a container. After draining the oil, clean the area around the drain plug and the filter. Reinstall the oil drain plug and the new oil filter (after applying some new oil to the gasket of the new filter). Lower the car, go to the engine, insert a funnel into the oil filler hole, and pour in the specified quarts of oil. When you are close to the indicated amount, check the level with the dipstick (the level should be checked the second time you pull out the dipstick). If the level is at the "max" mark, the operation is complete; otherwise, top off as needed. Finally, close the filler cap and reposition the upper engine cover.
