How to Replace the Engine Air Filter on a Toyota Highlander [USA]

Open the bonnet by lifting the lever located at the bottom under the dashboard near the driver's door. Locate the cover that contains the filter on the right side of the engine bay. To open the cover, you need to unclip the fasteners on the sides. At this point, lift the cover and remove the air filter. Take the new filter, ensuring it meets the specifications for the engine (see the vehicle's user and maintenance manual). Pay attention to the orientation of the filter before inserting it into the housing. Finally, reposition the cover and secure it with the fasteners.
