In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the tail lights in a Toyota 4Runner, a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, ensure that the key is not in the ignition for safety.

Start by opening the rear hatch, then remove the small panel located on the wall next to the headlight to be removed. Next, using a 10mm socket wrench, remove the two mounting nuts, disconnect the power connectors, and separate the headlight from the body using a plastic pry tool.

To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
