Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp90 - Years 2005-2011
Part: Engine oil

The necessary tools are:
- a funnel
- a bucket with a capacity of at least 5 litres
- a 14mm spanner
- an oil filter removal tool.

Unscrew the oil cap and remove the dipstick to allow the oil to drain more quickly. Position the tray under the engine in line with the drain plug located under the engine block and unscrew it using the 14mm spanner, taking care not to lose the washer on the plug.

While the oil is draining, unscrew the filter using the appropriate tool, being careful of any oil that may spill out. Once the old filter is removed, ensure there are no remnants on the thread and that the old rubber seal has not stuck. Apply some oil to the seal of the new filter to prevent it from getting stuck during installation, and fit it in place, ensuring it is tight.

Once all the oil has drained, carefully check the washer on the plug; if necessary, replace it and screw it back onto the engine. Top up the oil using the funnel, adding it gradually and checking the dipstick to avoid exceeding the maximum level.
