How Adaptive Cruise Control Works on the Toyota CHR

Model: Toyota C Hr Ax50, MK 1, Ax10 - Years 2016-2023

To activate adaptive cruise control on the Toyota CHR, use the lever located on the right side of the steering column, beneath the steering wheel. Pressing the button at the top of this lever engages the radar that regulates the distance from the car ahead, as confirmed by the dashboard display. Pull the lever down to set the cruise control to your current speed; move it up to increase this value and down to decrease it. Another parameter you can adjust is the distance from the vehicle in front, using the button on the right side of the steering wheel that features an icon of a car with a radar in front. Pull the lever towards you to disable cruise control while maintaining distance control. If you need to overtake the car ahead, press the accelerator pedal, pass the vehicle, return to your lane, and when you lift your foot off the accelerator, the car will return to the set speed. If you brake, the cruise control will deactivate.
