Changing the engine oil and the corresponding filter is one of the first maintenance tasks you learn to do yourself; if you have the right equipment, it becomes very straightforward; lift the vehicle on a ramp or suitable car stands to access the underside of the engine and locate the oil filter and drain plug on the sump; then use the appropriate socket wrench to unscrew the filter and install the new one, applying clean oil to the gasket; next, unscrew the plug from the sump, drain the old oil, and reattach the plug before filling the engine with new oil.
