How to Replace the Brake Pads on a Toyota Land Cruiser

First, remove the wheel where the replacement is necessary, then lift your vehicle and place it on suitable axle stands to continue the work. Next, remove the bolt securing the rear of the piston, including the cylinder. This will allow you to remove the bolts securing the caliper bracket that holds the pads against the outer disc. Now you can remove the outer brake cylinder, give it a good clean, and then retrace the steps for reassembling the various components.
