In this video we see how car heating works, especially in electric cars: in vehicles with an internal combustion engine, producing heat is easy because this type of engine produces a lot of it and must dispose of it in some way, so hot water from the cooling system is used and passed through a small radiator that allows hot air to pass through the vents; this was even simpler with air-cooled cars, which simply pushed the cooling air into the cabin. Electric cars, on the other hand, have such a different efficiency that they do not waste heat, so they have a kind of hairdryer that heats the air, consuming energy from the battery, affecting the range: in return, we will have instant hot air. Using heating in an electric car affects consumption by 10-15%, which does not happen at all with a combustion engine.
