Things not to do with a manual transmission

In this video we can see some things to avoid when using a car with manual transmission: first of all, the clutch must be fully pressed when shifting gears, otherwise the synchronizers can easily be damaged; the clutch must be released as gently as possible in order to preserve its lifespan; at traffic lights we always leave the car in neutral and do not keep the clutch pedal pressed, if not necessary; always perform proper and constant maintenance; do not start in second gear (unless the road is icy), as this overheats the transmission; always engage the handbrake when parking on a slope, even for a short period of time.
