Many modern manual cars have hill start assist to keep the car stationary. Do not floor the accelerator at low engine revs to avoid stressing the engine. Do not put the car in neutral when going downhill, as this is dangerous and can lead to loss of control and overheating of the brakes. Never brake without using the clutch, as this could cause the car to stall.
