How to replace the alternator pulley without using the kit

To replace the alternator pulley without the use of a kit, you need to have a nut of the correct size for the pulley shaft; a welder to attach the nut to the central part of the pulley, a torx key to lock the internal shaft of the alternator, a socket wrench to unscrew the welded nut. First, we lock the alternator shaft by inserting the torx key into the internal part of the shaft to prevent it from turning. Take a nut of the right size and weld it to the central part of the pulley; attach a socket wrench to the welded nut, and while holding the torx key steady to lock the shaft, apply force counterclockwise on the wrench connected to the nut to unscrew the pulley. Once loosened, manually rotate the pulley and remove it from the shaft. To install the new pulley, reverse the process (tighten with the welded nut, then remove the welding if necessary). This way, we avoid purchasing the specific kit, which is quite expensive, and ensure a solid grip for the necessary force.
