Operation: What is a Mild-Hybrid Car

Mild-Hybrid means "light hybrid", ie simpler and cheaper: in practice we have a small component that is halfway between a generator and an alternator. When braking, the car recovers kinetic energy during braking, and is stored in a lithium-ion battery, and in the acceleration phases, such as starting off or overtaking, the internal combustion engine helps. The heart of the hybrid system of a car of this type is 48 Volts, and supports the classic 12 Volts starter battery. The Start & Stop system, on these cars, already starts when the car slows down below 20 km/h. Internally, mild-hybrid cars are divided into two subcategories: BSG (Belt Starter Generator), where the generator is connected to the traction system via a belt, therefore externally - less powerful but less expensive - or ISG (Integrated Started Generator), where the generator is inserted inside the gearbox - greater power and greater cost -.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

In order to open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5, you need to press the appropriate button inside the passenger compartment, which is located in the rear part of the glove box on the driver's door. By pressing the button, the flap will unlock and it will then be possible to open it manually. Once the flap has been opened, the fuel tank access cap must be unscrewed. To close everything again, it will be sufficient to screw the tank cap again; subsequently, the flap must also be closed, pressing it so that it fits thanks to its locking mechanism.
