Installing an Additional Diesel Filter

To prevent issues with the diesel injection system caused by fuel from not-so-clean tanks, you can install a small mesh filter near the fuel pump on your engine. With the engine off, open the bonnet and locate the diesel supply pipe, unscrew the clamp holding the rubber pipe and slide it off. Insert the filter's rubber holder into the rubber pipe, ensuring the correct flow direction is respected.

Take a small piece of fuel-compatible rubber pipe and insert one end into the other holder of the filter and the other end into the pipe coming from the tank, tightening with metal clamps. Restore pressure in the circuit and start the engine to check the success of the operation.
