Installation of an additional diesel fuel filter

To prevent clogging in the diesel injection system due to fuel coming from not very clean tanks, we can install a small mesh filter near the fuel pump on our engine. With the engine off, open the hood and locate the diesel supply pipe, loosen the clamp holding the rubber hose and remove it, insert the filter hose holder into the rubber hose, making sure to respect the correct flow direction. Take a small piece of rubber hose suitable for fuel and insert one end into the other filter hose holder and the other end into the tank hose, tighten with metal clamps. Restore pressure in the system and start the engine to verify the success of the operation.
