How do you remove the flywheel of the Volkswagen New Beetle?

In order to remove the flywheel of the Volkswagen New Beetle, you need to loosen the screws that secure the left front wheel and also the battery; once these components have been removed, you can proceed by loosening all the screws that secure the gearbox to its housing. Once this has been freed from its screws, you can completely remove the gearbox from its seat, locating the flywheel between the engine block and the transmission. Once all the bolts securing the flywheel to its housing have been loosened, you can remove it and replace it with a new one.
